Every once in a while, especially lately with it getting harder and harder in the pregnancy, Joe and I sit and ponder what it would be like without kids. Gosh, the things I could do with this business, the clean-ness of the house and yard, the people we could hang out with more through FCA and even just in life, the traveling we could do…oh man…the traveling. Sure, it would be awesome…and to be honest with you all I selfishly envy those who don’t have kids and are thriving in their love of photography. I catch myself getting so frustrated at times with my life and have to really stop and praise Him for what He has given us, eventhough I really don’t want to!

Joe has been an incredible blessing in my life just within the past couple of months, because I get so tired so much faster and easier and he has totally stepped up to the plate and taken on all-star daddy role. There are no words I could ever say to him that let him know how much that has meant to me. God has been so good to us in blessing us with three boys so close in age. I am so pumped to watch them grow up with eachother. I just need to get through the next 3-5 years, right?

Brutally honest enough for you? However, after the days that creep by in TRYING to dig up stuff to do, I realize that I would not change this for anything else in the world. There is no amount of “other possibilities” that could be offered for me to give up these blessings in our lives. So ironic.

Joe and I could not be any more blessed…God has given us an unimaginable situation in life, and we are so pumped to walk through it together and with these boys. What have you been wishing for differently this week? How can we change our perception and realize how awesome of a situation we are really in and totally make it rock? Lord knows I didn’t always have that kind of an attitude in the past. But I try to have one now, and I choose to take on the moments that are oh so hard with these boys, because out of it comes even better moments like this: (and who could pass this up?)

How can you have your “laugh-out loud because your son is licking the same window your dogs snot all over” moment? What would we do without them?

And God said “let them eat cake”…ok, well maybe really….but I do think God ordained Blue Bell and the groom’s cake was brownies and Blue Bell icecream, so pretty much I think God was inviting everyone to eat cake and get groovy! Nice moves everyone!

Brent and Claire…you know how much we adore you and how thankful you have been in ours and our boy’s lives! We are so blessed by having been able to share in your incredibly special day. God’s light radiates through your marriage and we cannot wait to see where the road takes you next.

brenham wedding -the reiter’s- (part II)

dad-gum-it…so I am nowhere close to my goal of being able to cut down on my wedding blog posts. I was totally hoping to fit this adorable wedding into two blogs, but I just could not help myself…they did WAY too amazing of a job for me to contain myself. So, here you have it…the main event…so freakin’ sweet I can hardly stand it. Brent could not have smiled any bigger watching his bride walk down the isle. The ceremony was performed by their sweet friend Eric and songs were sung by their incredibly talented “entourage” of friends as well. These two are so loved and blessed by incredible friends and family. No one could stay away, even the sweet “mockingbird” overhead had to check in on the moments. It was truly perfect!

The day was PERFECT. Some might have been worried about an outdoor wedding on a Texas summer Saturday, but there was not an ounce of humidity in the air and hardly any clouds in the sky. It was a perfect shade of blue. Absolutely awesome!
Brent and Claire have known eachother for a long time, all the way back to Brent’s crush on his girl, that eventually turned mutual. An outsider looking in might have thought they were crazy for getting hitched so young, but everyone involved knows the love between these two is not ordinary for their “age” and is, in fact, something that God has brought together.
The girls took their time getting ready at Claire’s parent’s renovated home in Chappel Hill and Claire was total effortless grace. Meanwhile the boys went to shoot some guns and eat some burgers to quench their appetites for the day, I guess you could call that a “typical” Texas reunion. Afterwards we all met up at the Antique Rose Emporium, off of the Texas Independence Trail, to watch these two get married in the sweetest little red chapel you have ever seen. Joe and I were so blessed to be a part of the day, not only to witness, but to document the love of these families and this couple. Joe and I have never seen Claire so radiantly stunning and Brent was so inspiring with his love for her.
What a perfect day for a wedding!

All while I captured the beautiful girls. Claire wore a perfect lace gown from Princess Bridal to match the gems from mothers and grandmothers passed down.

So one of the great things about having a blog that only I write on right now is that I can do anything I want, which sometimes includes embarrassing those around me…all out of love, of course. Well, today is one of those posts and it is all about my amazing Joe. First off I wanted to just show off how amazingly handsome he is, as well as brag on how much of a blessing he is in my life. I could not ask for a more incredible business partner and husband. He truly is the reason I am doing what I love to do, which is loving on yall through pictures. I always LOVE when he gets the chance to shoot your weddings with me. He does an amazing job of being there for all of our clients 100% on their big days. It is such a joy for me to allow him to get to know how kickin’ yall are and become a friend of yours too. I can honestly say that the best part of our nights with you all is getting to crawl into bed after it’s all said and done and pray over your marriage. What a blessing for us. Thank you to each one of our amazing clients for allowing me and my main man to be a part of your families on your special days. We are so thankful to now be able to call each one of your friends!
