We will be at the annual event here in the North Houston area this Saturday evening, December 5th, getting to hang out with a TON of families who can use a little extra “help” this Christmas. We will be playing games, eating yummy food, hanging with Santa and just all around good fellowshippin’. PLEASE let me know if you are at all interested in coming out and serving! We would LOVE to have ya!

I LOVE my “job”. I love that I can use my gift to meet and become friends with INCREDIBLE people like this amazing little boy and his mom, dad and even grandparent’s. I got to know this family through a mutual friend, and was so pumped to get to finally meet them about a month ago. I feel absolutely awful for taking so long to get these to them, I didn’t even get them a little sneak peek. There really is just no excuse for it, because the fact of the matter is that these pictures and this family deserve the time and exposure. I am in love with this little boy. I LOVE the sweet little man that he is and I only got to hang out with him for about an hour. He did so great in front of my camera, which, I think allowed me to get some great pictures of how awesome this little kiddo is!
Hayden here has Spina Bifida with Hydrocephalus and Chiari Malformation (which is why he’s trached and has a G tube for feeding). He is currently unable to speak, but does an awesome job of signing…he is so smart! We spent the morning smiling a lot, playing a little piano, going outside, riding in his wheelchair, touching my lens, sitting in his chair and throwing plastic balls and listening to and watching them hit the wood floors, even sitting in his swing and watching his favorite signing videos.
The thing that stood out to me the most was how joyful he is. He lights up with his mom and dad. You can tell he is so incredibly loved. I am so blessed by amazing parents like these two. They have so much joy, even through the trials. Why this disease had to affect this little boys life, we can never answer, but I love the fact that Jesus shines through these parent’s. I get so emotional just thinking about how tough of a situation this is, and I love their example of true joy and faith in the Lord. Hensley’s, you are incredible super-stars! Thank you so much for allowing me to hang out with you for a morning. I know it is tough, and I know you have so much to be thankful for, I also know that I have been touched by your family, and I would be honored to use my gift for you anytime you might want/need it!

How sweet is this baby? I do not think anyone could deny that this sweet little girl is a total gift to her daddy. I am thinking that most of you have been keeping up with the Sullivan’s. So, I did want to just address how incredible it was to meet this little miracle. Last month I drove in and out of San Anotonio just to get to spend some time with and meet sweet Chloe. I was so pumped when Brady responded to me in the hope to of taking some newborn pictures and some pictures of her and her daddy. I mean after all that these two had been through I was honored for him to take the time to invite me over.
The established purpose, I feel, for this blog is to be able to honor those around us that are going through trials or tribulations and be able to use imagry to make you all aware and be touched enough to pray for these families. I go into these sessions wanting to bless these families with photos & fellowship that they might not otherwise take the time or have the money to get. I am so excited to give this, but I can say that so far they have all blessed me far beyond what I could ever do for them. I am sure it will continue on like this, because let’s face it, when you go beyond yourself and give more than you might have to give or have the time for, God shows up and I love that I am in a position to see this as much as I can make it happen!
Chloe and Brady – thank you for your incredible lives for Jesus. Thank you for your amazing example of a Godly husband and father. Thank you for your time and being able to just sit and catch up while I got to hold that sweet baby girl! I kicked myself in the butt the whole way home because I so wished I had taken more, but I did not want to bother y’alls time, you had already given me so much of it. So, in my measly attempt to show off your baby girl’s beauty, Brady, I hope you can treasure these for MANY years to come. I cannot wait to see y’all again!

I had every intention of posting Chloe’s pics this week and I totally left the hard drive with all her pics up at my house, and headed down to Friendswood for a blitz of sessions. So, those will be up this next week, I promise.
I wanted to just put up a BIG post here dedicated to just saying thank you so much EVERYONE of you for the incredible encouragement and comments. It has been so incredible to hear your individual stories on how you know Sara or Brady or how you don’t know them at all, but that the the story of her life has changed yours! You have no idea how much that has blessed me. So, thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to write me. I hope to get around to replying to each one of you, but in the meantime I do want you to be sure and know how much you touched me.
What incredible families I have already been blessed with documenting. I cannot even begin to tell you how much joy it brings me to work with each of them. I am so thankful for your lives and the lives you have touched. Thank you for allowing me into your homes and lives for some brief moments in the midst of your weakness to hear all about you and what you are going through. I am in love with being able to tell others about you and the inspirations that you are to me, and now to MANY around you. If this blog with your stories and pictures could touch just one life, then it is all worth it!
I am blessed to be able to use my pictures to tell your stories and your sweet moments!

Again…AMAZING faith. I am so inspired by these strong men and women who are going through this right now. Thank you, to each of you, for your incredible trust in God and amazing example of how to handle what life throws at us. It is evident that God lives in you! Your stories, as hard as they are, are life changers!

So, it turns out that October is breast cancer awareness month and I want to honor that, especially in honor of my grandmother who was diagnosed with it when she was alive.
This is the case throughout the year, but especially this month I want to know all about yourself, your friends and your family who have been or are affected by this illness. Tell me all about them and let me honor them with a photoshoot and all the pictures for free! So, start your lists, because as unfortunate as it is, we all have been afftected by this one way or another, and this is my small part to get to donate my gift to this disease!
Happy thinking…

Only 5 posts into the blog and I am already a slacker. So sorry all you out there who are actually keeping up. I was supposed to blog yesterday and never got the chance. So here it is. This, yet again, is not a photo blog post. My apologies. But I did want to post as soon as I could to talk about a friend who I went to highschool with and his sweet family. They are going through the fire as we speak, and I would love to post his blog here for you to read and possibly start to pray over. They need it!
It is always incredible to me how people can come together in adversity. I personally have not seen Brady since highschool, but when you see someone you know going through something so difficult you cannot help but fall on your knees for them. Please read their story.
The Sullivan’s
I am touched by both her life and his. What amazing faith! I hope you are encouraged by this as well. Go out and make it an amazing day! Life is so precious!
